ALL Nebraska I-130 Filers -- Part 3

PD March 23 2017 and I'm still waiting. I don't know what to  do since I was thinking that his process was supposed to be faster. Since the priority date had been passed 293 days, Is that normal? What should I do?

I will tell you from experience, if you call the customer service number for the USCIS office, your going to be told the same information you can see on the website, and if you attempt to do a service request by phone, and according the the processing times for USCIS website hasn't passed your PD, your going to get a generic response "that you case is in line to be reviewed by an officer, and to allow 60 days, if you haven't heard back in that time to contact us at the number below" however there was no number below on my form. Do not think to go to your your local State Senator's office, because frankly they don't care that your waiting either, and all they will do is send an email to the service center and not push it.

 

I would wait until your PD passes the date that the USCIS website states it is currently working on, if that date passes I would do a service request.

 

The reason I tell you to wait, and really it is all up to you, but I have had plenty of frustrating moments with them to pass along you don't want to put yourself through that.

Quick question  , just being Impatient here , 

Trying to estimate my remaining timeline 

 

My i-129 was closed on 4th , I called tier 2 on 5th they said i-130 case approved on 5th  , no online update or mail for either one yet , 

So typically how long is Nebraska taking to send to DoS after this situation ??

Takes about 2 weeks before sent to DOS from uscis. The update also takes awhile before you will see it..

Please dont take offense by this but...unless you did that and you got some help then great for you... but I went that route and got the same response USCIS is giving us....they dont care. 

 

It does nothing but add fruatration unless your case is past processing time, if your past they might care but if your not they dont.

My case hasnt been updated online till date it still shows case received even though we have paid all the fees and we are waiting for our ds260 form to become active....

Our case was approved on 25th Nov and NVC received it on 21st of Dec....

 losing patience with NebraskaSC...I saw some cases of May updated, and I thought by this time I was going to have already an approval. I guess the guy that has my file is the same one that is still checking December 2016 cases

I feel for both of you, I am losing patience and I am in May, I can only imagine what you are both feeling....I have to stop looking at this, one case from 5/8 which is also my pd was approved...I was convinced that the fact I tried to expedite and did service inquiry they would just hold onto my case until it passes a year. 

 

either that or we have the one person who is always sick never at work and hates his or her job.

 

I wish NSC would get their head out of the butt, and stop jacking people around

I'd like to know too. My I-129F was closed on 01/05 and I have yet to receive any updates and even called to check on my I-130 and still no approval. When you spoke with a Tier 1 officer, were they able to see if your case was approved? Or did you have to request to speak to a tier 2 to get that information for your I-130?

Yep, probably that one person what might shoot up the office when the cake is out or something
