Our case was received on April 20th and still haven't got our noa2 so we are right there with you ! I am wondering if some of the real quick cases are adjustment of status because they still have to file a i130 again from what I understand

Probably....

Unless there's that one guy with the biggest pile of applications and he/she is always sick or hates their job... Would be our luck though..

I might be the only one confused but why would they need to file another I-130?

Same PD May 22nd I'm at 225 days hope to hear something in February!

I am hoping for something in Feb also PD 5/8 it is exciting to see cases in mid April, but as someone else said our luck is we have the one person that hates coming to work and doing their job that it gets sat on forever. I really feel bad for those in December 2016 still waiting.

Incorrect. If your first I130 is approved you can choose to adjust status if at the time your are visiting the USA or choose to move onto NVC stage. No need to file another petition.

Khallaf - As I am one of those still waiting from December 2016 thanks for feeling bad for the ones left behind and for continuing to be our voice and point that out.   It's hard to see the ones who filed in April are getting approved but on the other hand I am happy for them .  I wonder how many December filers are still waiting.  Some day our time will come. This process will make us appreciate our spouse and never take for granted our time we can spend with them when we are finally reunited.

I just wish they would get them done, it sucks to see all other service centers working on cases of June and August 2017. they need to have one center dedicated for other ####### and 2-3 centers for just the 130 cases.

Steph&Bobo, Oh that’s painful to still be waiting. You’re not forgotten. I thought my file got lost as it took forever. I’m sure you’ve placed calls and made inquires so I pray all hurries along so you can get past this stage..

Sundee - I've done all those things to only be told additional reviews needed to be done and once that is complete my petition would be approved.  Which I've come to learn that additional review means  background checks.  Of course they don't tell tell you what is causing the additional review or when we went in  background checks.  They just say be patient.  The last tier 2 I spoke to told me to stop calling (I've only called 4 times in a over the year since I filed ) and putting in service requests (I've put in 3 within that year).  I've read that because my husband's first name is a a very common name that  I can expect a very long background check.   He has no criminal records, etc.   I also read:  The records maintained in the FBI name check process consist of administrative, applicant, criminal, personnel and other files compiled by law enforcement. Initial responses to this check generally take about two weeks. In about 80 percent of the cases, no match is found. Of the remaining 20 percent, most are resolved within six months. Less than one percent of cases subject to an FBI name check remain pending longer than six months.

I am just hoping we don't end up in  the 1%.

All I know is I dislike this process very much.  I think the system is severly broken.  If I could fix it, I would.  Even with extreme vetting, it should never take this long for a petition to approved.  We are US citizens and we have the right to have our spouse with us.

Hang in there, I'm also a Dec filer still waiting too. They've told me the same thing as well to wait till 01/28 for an answer and that my case is currently pending adjudication and of course it was delayed due to additional reviews. *siiiigh*. We'll both get out of here some day...soon I hope :(

Yes we do have the rights to be with our spouse and I truly feel bad that you are enduring all this pain. The additional review very well could have been sparked due to a common first name of the Spouse, so hopefully it will move along.

Keep your faith and don’t give up as it’s not a option...

Crysta I'm sorry  you were delayed because of additional reviews too.  I've never been given a time to wait for an answer.   I don't know if that is good or bad.  I would just be disappointed if that day came and went without approval.   I wonder if our files got stuck with the same officer who picked on our files for whatever reason.  We will get out of here.  I am hoping both of us get out of here soon too!  I hope you get an answer long before 1/28.
