Wow thank you,I can't wait to start...have you gotten your nvc case # yet And IIN..if so when can I call them to get mine?

Hi Chucks, my petition was mailed off to Dept Of State on Nov 28th and I got notice from NVC on DEC 12th and i have my case # and IIN # now. I would wait 2 weeks and if u don’t hear back from them, then call them..

Do you have a Lawyer? If you do then Your Lawyer will also get a notice. My lawyer  and I were both emailed on Dec 12.

Yes at NVC stage it gets us 1 step closer to our loved ones....

We got APPROVED!!!
PD 02/02/2017.
Our NOA2 is dated 12/08/2017. I checked the stamp on the letter and it wasn't sent out until 12/11/17. I had called USCIS in between those times but they told me just to sit tight. I contacted them again on 12/13/17 and all they could tell me was that a "decision notice" was sent out on 12/12/17.

I couldn't be happier!

Yes I know the feeling. I filed for my husband who is in Ghana and I can’t wait to see him and know we don’t have to part again by living in different countries.

CONGRATS!!!! The process for Canadians is very quick at the NVC. I got a case number 3 weeks after approval and you can complete the process in as little as a week. I know you have been waiting a long time and it's such a relief when the approval comes. I've PM'd you details on what to expect from the CEAC online process and all the docs that you need to get so you can submit everything right away. Wahoo!

Message me when you get approved and I can tell you what they expect from the CEAC process. I believe Sydney does the whole NVC process online as well. If you have not done so already I would get your police check completed.

Woohooo, Congratulations! So happy to see other VJ users applying for Canadian spouses, like myself, and getting approved. Makes me so excited to see anyone approved truly. So much closer to being with your loved one!

Wow this is the best thing I’ve read in a long time. So glad to know that the next phase is so much less stress.

Yes, the key is being organized and getting your documents ready after your i130 is approved. It takes about 3-4 weeks for the NVC number and after that you are ready to roll. But the key is to have everything ready to avoid further delays. Feel free to hit me up anytime to ask what you need. Police certificate is vital and for some jurisdictions it takes up to 6 weeks. Make sure you are caught up with US taxes and if needed get tax transcripts for the past 3 years. Make sure the Canadian has a long form birth certificate with both parents listed. If you don't then just order it online. One of the most time consuming parts is putting together the domicile evidence (USC ties to US) which is looked at closely for Canadians.
