I know that we will all hang in, I know that we will all be tough, we can all complain, sometimes it makes us feel a little better, but we will all be there to support each other, and give them as much information as each of us comes across and have experienced.

Absolutely

no it was a tier 1, and when I called back to talk to a tier 2 they told me that they can't see that so I never should have been told that. I got so fed up in the last 2 days of calling that I placed a call to my congressman's office, gave them all the information I had about the Nebraska service center, and she told me she was going to make a few calls, and dig deeper into it and I would get a call back by Monday. I don't know how much weight the congressman's office is going to be able to do but it was worth a try. I am just beside myself that the other two service centers who process the same cases are into June and July approvals and here we are stuck in a black hole of Nebraska. I filed not one but 2 expedite request because of the ISIS threats and attacks and each time my request has been denied. I told them I fear for my husbands life. Guess they don't take ISIS threats too alarming. I have anxiety every day waiting to see if I will wake up and my husband still be alive :( this wait is torture, and there isn't a single person that is working in the Nebraska center that even cares.

Hang in there @Khallaf! Each and everyone of us in this forum will eventually make it out of Hellbraska, but just know that we are all here for each other. Your husband will be home with you soon you just have to keep your head up. There are wonderful individuals in this forum that can answer most of your questions and even give advice or a friendly reminder that you will get through Hellbraska. One of those souls that I find to be my angel through this time right now is @Sundee. We're all sailing on the same boat and we must try our very best to keep our boat afloat. Hang in there!

Is exactly 1year today(DEC 13 to dec 13) and nothing. My husband made inquiry and he was told to wait for 60days again. And we don't even know if they will still give us RFE. I can't even face my family again bcos of this issue. How can one officer just seat on someone happiness since 1year now without review. Thinking of it alone is breaking me everyday. I don't think they understand the pain of been stagnant in one position.

I share your same pain @Oladipo.. my pd is Dec 30 and my one year mark is coming up soon and still nothing.:(:( They did reply to my service request that my case is under review and to allow 60 days for an answer.. I am so impatient and I pray that I will receive an answer soon, and I pray the same for you! Hang in there!

with them telling you that your case in under review, have you seen any status change when you check on your case with the app or online check with your case #.

I received two notification about my case status today.

One had "Name was updated" and the other one "Your Case Status: Initial Review ". I attached a screenshot.

What does it mean? Can I expect to get a status in few weeks? How long it takes to do the background check? If it takes 4-5 months then it'll be too long. My PD is 02/03

You should not expose your Receipt Number here.

...do good and good will be done onto you...

Same here, our PD is Dec/19. Same boilerplate response to our Service Request, to allow 60 days for response. Very painful indeed, trying to keep it together!

I have the iPhone USCIS app and our latest and only update is our PD. But, when my wife called and spoke to Tier 2, they were able to look it up in their system, most recent update was last Thursday (as of last Monday), which brought slight comfort that somebody is actually working on it.

I wonder if that is the case, I was told 12/7 my case was with an officer and under review, but my status just states received, you would think if they were really working we would have gotten something like the other name changed case in initial review.

From what I’m seeing status-wise, the cases read Received until USCIS processes it.

That is great! I hope you'll receive an answer soon. I just spoke to a tier 2 and of course I receive the same spill that I get from a tier 1. Currently under review by an officer and to continue to allow 60 days. eerrrgghhh

if that's the case, then maybe what Tier 2 told me last week could be true that it's under initial review even thought my case still reads received on the apps.

Thanks, right back at you! It’s beyond frustrating at this point. Our lawyer is suggesting we involve member of Congress, as hopeless as we feel, I guess it’s worth a try.

It will most likely read Received until it moves out of Nebraska Center.
