I wonder that too. I'm really hoping and praying that they won't actually make me wait 60 days. Was it a tier 2 officer that you received that information from regarding your case?

no it was a tier 1, and when I called back to talk to a tier 2 they told me that they can't see that so I never should have been told that. I got so fed up in the last 2 days of calling that I placed a call to my congressman's office, gave them all the information I had about the Nebraska service center, and she told me she was going to make a few calls, and dig deeper into it and I would get a call back by Monday. I don't know how much weight the congressman's office is going to be able to do but it was worth a try. I am just beside myself that the other two service centers who process the same cases are into June and July approvals and here we are stuck in a black hole of Nebraska. I filed not one but 2 expedite request because of the ISIS threats and attacks and each time my request has been denied. I told them I fear for my husbands life. Guess they don't take ISIS threats too alarming. I have anxiety every day waiting to see if I will wake up and my husband still be alive :( this wait is torture, and there isn't a single person that is working in the Nebraska center that even cares.

A quick question please, must I DHL my passport photographer to my husband, or should I just scan it and  email it to him so he can print it out. But when he spoke to the customer service yesterday concerning his mum's name they put on the notice instead of my name. They put his mum's name as my middle name instead of my middle name.He did applied for his mum few yesrs ago. They told him that I should DHL the passport to him. Has anyone scan and send their passport photographer to their spouse before through email? Was it excepted?

What you will do is this... take the passport and make sure it actual US size tell them to send to your mail, then you can forward to your husband. He can go to CVS or staples to print it out.

My husband sent me his photo as a picture to my phone, on a picture message, I printed it out via the passport link on walmart.com and resized it, so far they have accepted it but then again I am still in May and I could still get a RFE.

Is exactly 1year today(DEC 13 to dec 13) and nothing. My husband made inquiry and he was told to wait for 60days again. And we don't even know if they will still give us RFE. I can't even face my family again bcos of this issue. How can one officer just seat on someone happiness since 1year now without review. Thinking of it alone is breaking me everyday. I don't think they understand the pain of been stagnant in one position.

I know exactly how you fell as we all do here on VJ.  I  hit the one year mark on December 8 and as of today, no RFE nothing.  It's beyond heartbreaking.  A whole year without my spouse here with me.  No marriage should have to endure this.  I guess some will say we signed up for this.  I feel like we get punished for loving someone from another country.

I received two notification about my case status today.

One had "Name was updated" and the other one "Your Case Status: Initial Review ". I attached a screenshot.

What does it mean? Can I expect to get a status in few weeks? How long it takes to do the background check? If it takes 4-5 months then it'll be too long. My PD is 02/03

Does anyone know if you always get notified if your case is in initial review?  I spoke to Tier 2 a week ago and he said I was in initial review but I never received a notification saying that.  So now I wonder if he lied?

I got told that on 12/7/17 from a tier 1 who said my case was with an officer and under review, when I talked to a tier 2 yesterday, I was told that they have no way to see that...so now I have no idea who lied, so I got in contact with my local state senator's office and filled a release for them to contact the USCIS office on my behave and get the correct information. I am tired of getting the run around each person you talk to on the phone has something different to say.

This process is so frustrating and disheartening.  The thought they would lie just to appease you is disgusting as it gives you false hope.

I’m pretty sure any day now u will hear something. Another person I know went 4 days over 1 yr and then finally got approved.

This is one of the hardest things in life one faces and the wait is so stressful as I know I went through it. Believe it or not this process makes us stronger... Pls hang in there...

I know that we will all hang in, I know that we will all be tough, we can all complain, sometimes it makes us feel a little better, but we will all be there to support each other, and give them as much information as each of us comes across and have experienced.
