Hey all, longtime lurker here. Finally decided to join in on the collective mourning of getting good ole NSC as our service center. Congrats to everyone getting their NOA2!

I do have a question I hope you could kindly answer for me.

I filed the I-130 for my husband in April ‘17, pd is 4/6. We’ve been married for over a year now (dating for much much longer) and our first child was born in August ‘17. We foolishly thought we’d be able to wrap things up by Christmas by obviously that won’t be the case. ☹️ My question is do we send in a copy of our child’s birth certificate as additional evidence and to which address do we send it to? I’ve contacted USCIS customer service already and they were no help. Thanks in advance for your replies!

I'm no expert, but I think you should wait and send it to NVC instead.

My husband filled only the form i-130, was he suppose to include another form. I have been trying to calm him, he has been very sad since he got the news. He said he can't even concentrate at work.

Am really sorry abt the RFE. Do you know what form your husband forgot to include with the 1-130?

I understand your husband not being calm as this process is very stressful. Tell him to take deep breath and relax as stressing over what u can’t change only makes it worse for ones self. Get the RFE letter and asap send in what Uscis is  requesting.

Since you filed in march,he should have included forms G-325A for you both. Tell him a RFE is not a denial in as much as you both respond within 87days starting from the issuance date you guys will be fine.

What would be a cause for RFE? I'm so worried we will get one even though I sent more evidence then they needed at initial filing, maybe I'm just paranoid lol. He came here on a 2yrs visitor visa we got married on his second trip here to the US and he went back before his visa expired may 2nd. I sent alot of evidence except receipts for the wedding which I didn't remember till after.

our PD is May 22nd Algeria

I am with you a May filer, I called and spoke with a customer service rep who told me our case was with an officer and is in review, if you sent in all the papers and evidence, I wouldnt worry. Did you send in affidavits from people who know about ypur relationahip also?
