Hello all!

First time poster here, but long time lurker. When I first started this journey, I was a little discouraged because not only was I told that Nebraska was the slowest service center, but I mistakenly submitted just the I-130 and I-130a, along with payment, with absolutely NO supporting documents. I am happy to report that I finally received notification that my case has been looked at and my RFE was sent on the 20th!!!

This news has honestly given me and my husband much hope and I want to congratulate those who have not only received their approvals and visas, but those who have also been given that extra bit of hope they've needed during this wait. I want to also encourage those still waiting. It's not easy (goodness it has not been easy...many tears, stress, frustrations...seriously my skin started to break out lol) other but I know in the end, the wait, the tears, the stress will be all worth it! Don't give up!!! <3 <3 <3

**timeline updated**

Glad you joined in on this journey. Many of us here have received as well as given support to one another.

This journey has been one of the most difficult because it deals with your emotions and that has caused so much stress and depression, but through it all we who are traveling this journey or just starting or ending it, have found strength we never knew we had, so to all of us..... We will Make It..

A lot of us who have been approved and have finished with NVC are still here to assist and support those of you who need us...

Everyone keep your faith and your heads up!!!!

Oh my, that's so disheartening. I'm at week 3 waiting for NVC case number. I've been following a few cases similar to mine on here and most that I've seen have gotten their case number at the 1 month mark, so I'm focusing on that. I want to call NVC every day, but I know it won't make a difference as I understand the wait is long. :crying: I need my husband to come home already!! We all need our significant other....

Wow I can’t believe it’s been a month already :( have you tried for another expedite with NVC or do you think it won’t matter until you have case number? Yes this is very frustrating

Omg I’m so excited now on to the next wait.. had a PD of Oct 10

requested an expedite due to financial hardship on March 9 through congressman.. yesterday 3/23 case was approved and sent to DOS/NVC

now more waiting lol! 8 weeks for a CN if that’s what I’m hearing wow

anyways Patience is a virtue and must need for this journey

Hello. I thought I knew what I was doing but after reading all these questions and comments now I'm not sure. I am applying for a I-130 for husband. And I received a case number and that was back in September 1, 2017. And every time I check the status it says case has been accepted. Do I need to do anything else from my end?!?! Because I was under the impression I wait until I get further notice.

Just want to Thank everyone in advance!!!!!

Approaching 200 days got nothing this is a total waste of time unless you got some reason for expediting your case like the other guy. be prepared for the long haul i gave up wasnt worth the wait. America has the most backwards life the more issues you got the faster you can go through
