My file was sent to NVC on January 24th according to USCIS website. I then called NVC after 10 days n they told me that they received it on Jan 31st

you offered to bribe the US Government???? you need to relax the whole process from start to finish takes 12-14 months sometimes longer, and if you just filed in 9/2017 you have a slight wait for approval.

looks like you are a pivot case and from my understanding those are taking well over 2 months to get a case # sorry, I know it sucks.

Yes at times from start to finish this process can take even longer then 12-14 months. I’m at 16 months and still my husband not here, so it takes time..

 

My suggestion to you Keki915 is go and visit your Spouse Every 6 months and stay a month then come back and go again and before you know it, it’s over.

Only a suggestion....

Would love to do that but i work a job which i cant easily take off nor my wife we both work very demanding professional jobs. I did not exactly bribe them i just asked if there was any way to speed up the process and offered to pay any fees to speed it up. honestly before i started this i thought the salary and assets would make this process much faster but i am on the back burner with everyone else which is why i am thinking to leave here to join my spouse where she is cause where she lives it would be a much quicker process

I am going to be the one to say it, just because you have a professional job, does not mean the rest of us don't, so saying things like your on the back burner like everyone else is just condescending. Your job status and your money does not make you better than anyone else that is trying to be with their spouse. 

 

by all means if you want to jump ship and go there because you think the process will be faster go for it.  ALL of us on this forum, come here to express our joys and sadness, our ups and downs and to help others along the way.

 

HERE in this forum we are all human, we all breath, and bleed the exact same, not ones social status or money is better than anyone else. SO yes in theory you are being processed in the same pace like THE REST of us.

Well guys, a huge thank you to everyone for everything. My wife and stepkids attended the interview this morning and were approved pending the results of the medical (which is being sent out today)! Thank everyone for their support, knowledge, and kindness through this process.

Yes it seems no matter what we have in assets or salary, we still wait in line.

Weigh out your options and go from there..

Does your on line status show sent to “Dept OF State” ? If so, NVC should receive it in abt  3-5 days..

they might get it by Friday, scanned as received, as long as the weather doesn't cause any more issues.

Yes its finally updated last night. I woke up in the middle of night as I had a dream about my case having some problem. In my dream my online status was saying "case not found. Error!!". As soon as I woke up from the dream I checked my online status and it was changed to 'Send to DOS". I'm not making this stuff up. Whats even interesting is I had checked it last night around 10 pm before going to bed and it was still saying "Received".
