Hi Everyone,

I contacted my congressman in Austin for an expedite based on extreme financial hardship. I was prepared to wait out my time until it all fell apart here..anyways I have a PD of oct. 10 .here is the email..I’m not sure exactly what this means..will the supervisor look over the expedite and approve? Then send to adjudication who will then see if petition can be approved or denied? The emails are so confusing..I’m guessing if expedite wasn’t approved they would have said so correct...

Petition for Alien Relative, which was filed with USCIS on October 10, 2017. I went ahead and forwarded your expedite request along with the supporting documentation to the Form I-130 unit supervisor at the Nebraska Service Center (NSC). If the expedited processing request is granted, this case will be assigned to an officer for further examination in the adjudication process.
We are unable to determine the date on which Ms. LeBeau-Jardim’s Forms I-130 case will be assigned to an adjudicating officer and when the adjudication process will be complete. However, if you choose to follow-up with the NSC Congressional Unit after approximately 15-20 days from the date of this email message, we would be pleased to provide another case status update based on the future inquiry from your office and available information.”

They will review your case and if approved for expedite they will let you know. Unfortunately nothing of this process is fast. Also it depends on the officer who just happens to review your case, so cross your fingers that you will be approved.

Follow up after 15-20 days as advised..

Goid luck on your journey.

I don't know about the 42 days max. And i wish i knew how much longer I should wait. It feels like forever...I hear it should take 4 -6 weeks from when a supervisor takes over a case. And that pivot cases are taking longer on getting their case numbers. I don't know how true that is though. My case is a pivot case btw. Is yours too?

Good luck and keep me posted

they say up to 6 weeks, but as we have seen many things do not take that long, and some take longer, it will all depend on the case load the NVC has to put in.

Yes you're right. I just called NVC and I'm still hearing the same thing. That My case is still waiting to be put into the system and that i will be notified when I've been assigned a number.

Its frustrating and depressing having to keep waiting so long.

I  just called nvc again today. The lady herself said that she will send my case to a supervisor as it's been above the time limit. This is our 4th week running waiting for a case number!

2018. I filed the I 130 on July 2017 and got the NOA 2 on Jan 12.

NVC received my case on Jan 15 2018

I filed in May 2017, got approved by USCIS on Jan. 16, 2018, and NVC received my case on Jan. 31 2018.

Equally long and frustrating.....i want to see light at the end of the tunnel.

you can call NVC either Petitioner or beneficiary, if you supplied USCIS with email address on the I-130 application NVC will send the case information to that email address.
