I was told the day before I got my case number I would have to wait 6 more weeks. I would just keep calling them. Nobody can tell you when they will assign a number. They probably tell people to wait the maximum time in hopes you will stop calling them. Unfortunately a Supervisor can't do anything until the 6 weeks is up.

It is frustrating! I'm still in the same situation Kath! Like...They received my case on Jan 18 then I waited the 2 regular weeks. I called them after that and they put a request for a supervisor on Feb 5h and then on Feb 15th...I still have no answer. Last week I got an email saying for me to wait more 5 weeks. I can't really understand what is going on...People that got the NOA2 way after my date and the NVC also after my receive date and some of them already got the CN...So I really don't know anymore :(

then what is the point of them telling you they will assign it to a supervisor?

I mean honestly if your just going to have to wait anyway, it makes you get your hopes up that someone is actually going to cal about it.

Also, we have to replan to get some civil documents as Police certificates that has validation...at least in my country we have so I think I need to get them again which is not easy! :/

Are you sure your case has been assigned to a supervisor? It sounds like they have your case but they just have to assign a number. Yes, it can take up to 6 weeks to get but in most cases it does not take that long.

It is frustrating but at hellbraska we would see others being approved after we filed and no way was that fair, unless expedite case and now it appears NVC is trying to slow down their process as well, so all we can do is wait and let everything happen in Gods timing..

We survived hellbraska, so we all will survive NVC.. 😀
