Hello everyone,

I'm just starting this process, my wife is a US citizen and we sent or I130 and got a received notice with PD OCT 31st, I know we are still early in the process, but for what I've been reading, it will take up to 9 or 10 months for my case to be approved by Nebraska.

Anyone else with a similar PD as mine?

kind regards.

If you fill out your timeline on your profile it will give you an estimation as to how long your case will take.

I've waited so long to finally get into the VJ estimated date range, and now I've passed the estimated date range. :-(

Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between January 23, 2018 and February 8, 2018*.

I think most of us blew past our estimated date and it was depressing. But don't give up hope. Your day will come!

Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On February 9, 2018, we sent your case, Receipt Number LIN17XXXXXXXX, to the Department of State for visa processing. You can find general information on Consular Processing by visiting our website at www.uscis.gov . The website will provide information on what to do next, who to contact, and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address.

Congratulations!!

The documents that NVC receives from us gets forwarded to the embassy, so by the time Your Spouse has the interview that consular has already reviewed everytilhing in your file, so I was advised to send in all I could at NVC stage since it can already be viewed and then time of spouses interview u bring copies of what u sent already so they match up and bring any new evidence as well.

Im my case I need all I could, so I supplied it...

Yes, I understand that NVC send all your file to the consulate so they check it before the interview. But they already received all what you send in the first package from USCIS, wich contents all the evidence of bonafide marriage.

One question

Does NVC process takes less time for green card applied by US citizen than green card holder ??

I'm not sure, but I believe the spouse of an LPR needs to wait for a PD, and the spouse of a US citizen doesn't need it. But not sure, better to check in the website of NVC.

Does we have to submit police clearance certificate of beneficiary at the interview time ?

The criminal records of the beneficiary from all the countries she/he had been for over 6 months, are necessary for NVC and for the interview. The document is valid only for 6 months.

If the beneficiary have previous convictions in her/his records, it's necessary to provide all the Police/court records of the case.

You send copies of all the documents to the NVC, since originals are gonna be necessary for the interview.

USC do not have to wait for to bring as spouse as where a LPR must wait if they want to bring their spouse or family member.

and you need to submit a copy of police certificate to NVC and take a copy and original to interview
