It took our case a month....that was in 2016.....it is taking longer now...

cases approved on 1/22 went to DOS 1/24 so there is no reason they need to be holding mine now for almost 2 weeks

Oh okay. That might take sometime before it reaches you. Hopefully it’s something that can be easily rectified.

Hello VJ family, I am a bit confused we received our NOA2 and it mentions that the petition is approved and the case has been sent to NVC. I am not sure what do we do from here and how long do we have to wait.  Could someone please let me know about the next upcoming procedures.

Hi ,

you can start gathering these documents that you'll need to send to NVC  ,

here are couple of helpful links you can read through , it explains the entire visa process once your case is approved at USCIS

http://www.lovevisalife.com/spousal-visa-nvc-phase/

and

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

also call NVC in couple weeks to see if they have your case number ready or not

you can also message me , i'll help you throughout the process if you need it

Whats the differents between IRS TRANSCRIPT  and W2? Are the two meant to be submitted? Or just one?

You can get a trascript for your wages and one for your tax returns transcript of your tax return is different from your W2 you need to submit both

Yeah we're guessing it'll take a week. Usually does, but we might call them tonight and see if they can tell us what evidence they want.

This probably pushes us another month before we are approved and good to go...

Hi guys

I want to ask you a quick question.

Do we need to attach a picture when applying IR1 or IR2?

I have not attached pic for both these petitions.

Should i be ready for RFE or its not a problem in every case for them to ask for picture.

Thanks

when you say pictures, do you mean passport pictures, or pictures as in evidence of marriage?

you should expect a RFE that is one things that is required to be sent in with the petition

C. A passport-style color photo of yourself and a passport-style color photo of your spouse, taken within 30 days of the date of this petition. The photos must have a white background and be glossy unretouched and not mounted. The dimensions of the full frontal facial image should be about 1 inch from the chin to top of the hair. Using pencil or felt pen, lightly print the name (and Alien Registration Number, if known) on the back of each photograph.

there is a check list at the bottom of I-130 instructions, of things that needed to be included

if there were no pictures at all attached on either case yes, you can expect a RFE on both petitions

I know these forms are confusing at times, it took me 4 months to gather everything to feel confident to file them without paying an attorney. I hope that he did it correct.

I assume all supporting documents to prove that your son is in fact yours, many have gotten RFE letters also to get DNA testing done. just an FYI.

IRS transcript is basically a report of the year's income, wage (w2 and 1099 forms included) you can get them here https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

if IRS transcript is unavailable or you cant get it (you need us phone number registered to the tax payer's name) then you can submit USC tax return+w2+1099 (all paperwork submitted to IRS when filing for tax)
