on your I-797C you would have gotten a number and PD all cases once they reach your PD they will have completed your case hopefully

My online status said sent to the DOS on the Jan 18th. Call on the 24th to see if NVC received my case the respresentive said yes they received it in the 23rd Tuesday . She told me to call next week Friday to see if my case number is ready. Things are moving kinda fast but I’m happy and will be calling every week .

I got mine too on Dec 14 and received the letter on Jan 8 because I live overseas that took much longer... so it was about my divorce decree without judge's signature. Not a big deal. Wish you the best!

Hi @deafguy72 we had the same situation- divorce judgement without judge's signature. We sent it through and they received it Nov 20, 2017. We're hoping the next contact will be the NOA1. Hope yours is all sorted out.

Hello VJ family, I am a bit confused we received our NOA2 and it mentions that the petition is approved and the case has been sent to NVC. I am not sure what do we do from here and how long do we have to wait.  Could someone please let me know about the next upcoming procedures.

Hi Amisharjiil, you have to wait for NVC to send you your case# and Invoice # which will take abt 2 weeks or so. If you don’t hear from NVC within 3 weeks then call them.

In the mean time start collecting your documents so when you hear from NVC you can get started..

Nah not yet. Online update say RFE has been sent on Jan 25. So in about a week we should receive the letter. Alsobliving overseas so...

Yeah we think this is our problem too, wife only had a copy of her divorce decree. But we'll see in a week.

Your copy is all good at least with judge's signature but the original needs to be shown during the interview I believe. Wish you good luck in a week! Fingers crossed

Got it, thank you for the info, the PD on my case is for the same date when I submitted it. Is your case the same?

I submitted mine on 5/3 my pd is 5/8 it is the date that USCIS accepted it

I got my NOA2 last tuesday with approval of 1/17 but USCIS is holding my case for whatever reason they have not sent it to the DOS yet.

It took our case a month....that was in 2016.....it is taking longer now...
