be thankful that they at least sent it to DOS mine was approved on 1/17 and it still sits at USCIS in hellbraska.

Believe me, I am!!.. Sorry to hear that so has USCIS shed any light as to why they are holding your case hostage?? Have you received your approval letter in the mail yet with approval date?? Im asking because on the letter it clearly says, "we've sent your case to the department of state."

My question here is... After the review, will I receive an approval online case status or wait for it via snail mail? Thanks! :)

Our Nebraska Service Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. Are you saying that you got approved on 9th from online case status and as well for the 22nd in the mail if that's right?

From the notice my husband got in the mail. It said our case was approve on the 9th. But the online status said it was sent to DOS on the 22nd.

I got my approval letter and even though the letter states sent to DOS it hasn't they are holding it I called and talked to someone on friday and was told it could be 90 days before they send my case and I asked why the letter said it was sent when it wasn't, and why others got approvals and are sent to DOS right away what is the reason, she kept repeating the same thing,

I am going to call again after two weeks from the approval date on me letter maybe by then they will release the hold on my package. :(

yeah don't worry,  i believe your case is already being sent to DOS , its probably in process of being delivered to DoS ,

i have noticed , once people get that " case sent to DOS " update , it's taking 10-14 days for NVC to actually receive the file , that was the case with mine ,

got approved Jan 4th , Letter came in on 18th or so saying case sent to DoS on 16th  , and I called NVC on 24th they said they received my petition on 22nd

:)  call them after 10-12 days and NVC should have your file , I hope    at least Nebraska is fast on sending petitions to NVC , unlike Texas ,i heard they take up to 1-2 months to send some petitions to NVC
