Cant find my Petitions online :(

I went to 

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do

put my receipt number from the temp 1 year extension letter.

Do not see any status.

 

Any ideas why ? I got it in July.

Did you try calling USCIS? they're going to have a better idea than people here.

Try contacting them first then come back here with your findings.

That receipt number doesn't work. I'm assuming that, due to the current delays, you may not have received your biometrics appointment letter. The case number that works to "check your status" will be the second number on your biometrics letter. But since your status won't change from "my case was received" until after you've been approved, it doesn't really help anyway. You have your NOA (extension letter) and you know that they've accepted your file... that's the best you can do at the moment.

Actually, the people at the call center probably won't know more than we do. They're subcontractors, who seem to only have access to publically available information (ie the same stuff we can find out on our own).

Sometimes a tier 2 officer (supervisor) might be able to track down the "other" case number but often they won't.

Either way, the case status doesn't change throughout the process until after approval (probably their system isn't set up properly) so it doesn't really help to have that number when you're just going to see the same message for (using my case as an example) 15 months and 4 days (and counting).

She received her biometic appoinment and we already done with that. I will check if there is a second number.

There is.

It will give the status 'we received your CRi-89 on xxx date...if you haven't heard from us by blah blah'

 

That will not change until card production, so is basically useless anyway

Because you can only check your status with the number that's on the biometric appt letter
