Hello,

I am a U.S citizen, living here all my life and want to help bring over my soon to be fiance to the US. We are not married , nor are we engaged, still dating. My boyfriend is a working man in algeria, he is usually granted visas to go to European countries such as France, Spain & Turkey. We would like to know how long the process will be and what the exact process is, and how long will he be able to stay in the U.S.

If he has applied for visitor visa's then the US process will not be that confusing to him, basically the same.

Does not take that long obviously varies with demand.

Most entrants are give a 6 month stamp but obviously this would be much longer than he would be able to use.

You can check times (wait times for interview & processing times thereafter) here: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/general/wait-times.html/

if he goes through Algiers it’s 2 weeks wait for an interview + 4 days’ processing time.

Also don’t know about turkey, it being one of the few countries I didn’t need a visa for, but as I recall the US visit visa form is easier than Schengen.  You don’t need all your proof of travel, accommodation & insurance in advance like you do with Europe.

he has to apply normally in USA embassy available in his home country. You have to send him invitation as a friend if you are not engaged. By the law you can invite a friend by demonstrate your financials by bank statement, housing rental agreement and the space availability with the guarantee that the person who is coming would be under your responsibility.

The normal process takes 1 week to 15 days time in which embassy respond to the applicant about his application.

This is not correct.

There is no law / statute that states this.  Indeed, showing that the OP is prepared to pay for everything and support him can act as a red flag because what incentive does he have to return if the OP is prepared to foot the bill?

When it comes to a tourist visa, space availability, accommodation etc is not important.  What is important is that the CO is confident that the applicant will leave and go home and that's what needs to be focused on: proving ties to home and an intent to leave.
