Hello...

I filed my AOS September 2016 from Phenix City Alabama ,  had my biometrics November  10, 2016 at Atlanta Georgia .  My last case status update was August 9, 2017 Scheduled for interview September 7, 2017 but received a notice of interview cancellation dated August 29, 2017 on August 26, 2017 in my mailbox. My case status still August 9, 2017 scheduled for interview September 7, 2017 no update till date and processing time is only available for Atlanta Georgia field office   closer to my address not for Montgomery Alabama field office that canceled my interview appointment

Many interviews in Montgomery have been cancelled.  In the research I have done, back in January Atlanta lost a few higher up people to promotions and there was sick leave thrown into the mix and that dropped ATL behind to minimum of 9 months. They were hoping to get the wait time down to 7 months by October and clearly that isn't happening. I have found out that people waiting for Montgomery should be watching Atlanta times because that's who will be scheduling the interviews etc in Montgomery... You may also call USCIS and ask to speak with a level 2 officer instead of speaking with customer care agent.

Let us know what you find out :)

Hello,

Thanks so much for your contribution to my quote,  I was able to get infopass appointment at the Alabama field office and I was told that service center scheduled my interview August 9, 2017 for September 7, 2017 but Montgomery field office did not have my case file from the service center that was why my interview was canceled by Montgomery field office, like you suggested I call customer care agent that I would like to speak with level 2 officer instead she asked for my details and how she can help,  well I told her about my findings at the Montgomery field office in Alabama through the infopass appointment and she was surprise about the scheduled from service center (I believe is Atlanta Georgia) without my case file forward to Montgomery field office in Alabama,  she asked for more details about my case and I believe she was trying to fixed something from her side why the conversation go on,  she told me to wait for 30 days I should get some feedback if not I should call back. .... The disturbing thing is my EAD (employment authorization) that expire in less than two months..... Thanks
