What does ‘in line for interview’ really mean?

Hello all,

 

I am now in-line for an interview, which is great! However, I am a question about what this actually means....

 

So, does being in-line mean that your case has already reached your field office and they have placed you in line? Or does it mean that the NBC have now begun the process of sending your case to your field office?

 

Also - any idea on how long it takes to move from in-line to receiving the interview letter (or does it depend on field office?)

it's like you are luckily in the line for iphoneX purchase at Apple store. while lots ofpeople are blocked out of the line. however,does itmean you will be able to get the phone today?  maybe not,as its depends on the stock on the shelf. it may be out of stock when you are served.

 

so, there is no straight. asnwer tothe question you asked. you will only have a rough idea and the average processing time,which is known to everyone.
