Hello all. I am new to this forum.

My fiancee is Yupadee from Thailand.

I sent in my K-1 app. to the Texas TSC/CIS center registered mail and got it stamped received March 2, 07.

It is now April 24, and I have not received any NOA1 communication.

Should I be concerned?

thanks, RP

Was your check cashed? I received my NOA1 a couple days after they cashed my check. But on the back of the check the Case# is stamped.

Did you sent it using certified mail or another form where you have proof that the package was delivered?

Was the check cashed? If the check was cashed you can probably get your receipt number off that back of the check.

Good luck

Yes, you can get your receipt # from the back of your check. If you still don't have an NOA1 you can call customer service to see if they can mail you one. That's what I had to do but it's been over 2 months and nothing.

RP,

i am just a couple of steps ahead of you my bf is also from thailand. so i got my receipt (aka noa1) a couple of days after i sent in our petition. but it was 91 days later that i got my noa2 meaning that the dept. of homeland security had approved our petition and sent it off to the nvc then it didn't turn up for 22 days at nvc. (currently waiting to hear it's arrived in bkk) so try not to worry too much i know the wait is enough to make you crazy.

try to start looking at timelines and when you fill yours out you are able to view "similar timelines" although i don't recommend it because that has done nothing but make me crazy! good luck to you!

You may want to call USCIS's customer service # to verify that they have received your petition. If you sent it with some sort of courier mail (which is generally recommended because at least you have tracking up to the point that it is delivered at the service center) like FedEx, UPS, or US Postal Service Certified Mail, you should know whether your petition was delivered or not. Did you pay by check? If so, check you bank account to see if your check has been cashed or not. Gather this information, and call the customer service number to verify that they have your petition.

It is correct that you do not need the NOA1 letter, but for your peace of mind you should verify that USCIS has your petition and is processing it. I would hate for you to wait the 3 months (that's about average for approval these days) or more, and then to find out that your petition was never received. Good luck!

If your check was cashed there are no worries .. you don't HAVE to have the NOA-1 paperwork .. I never received one

 Good Luck

That may be only partially true.....if they have your address correct. If you never receive the I-797 you might want to check if they have that correct. For my piece of mind, I'd rather make certain of this rather than have an RFE or approval sent to the wrong location. That could be a problem.
