no, it won't hurt your citizenship  application

why do you think it would?

of course she can file for unemployment

I don't know why it concerned me!

it's just because when we first filed for my green card the sponsor signed an affidavit of support! I really don't know much about but I think it's jus scared me a little

Basically, all the affidavit of support means is that you (the immigrant) won't become a public charge (by trying to get welfare or what have you). If you somehow managed to receive government benefits, your spouse would have to pay it back.

Once the affidavit of support has been accepted, though, they don't refer back to it in any future process. So you don't need to worry if your spouse is no longer making as much money as they were when they filed the affidavit. It won't affect anything.

And once you're a citizen, the affidavit of support no longer applies at all.

Is your timeline updated?

Yes. It will not have any effect on your naturalization.

I think you're thinking of unemployment as government assistance.  It's not. It's insurance paid by employers, not the government.

It is insurance that is SUPPOSED to be purchased by employers. There are rules for obtaining it such as a person cannot have been dismissed "for cause". In my state, it is possible to search to determine if an employer has properly purchased insurance.
