Hey guys,  I'm going to the philippines tomorrow and am thinking of bringing my school laptop, and two super old 10 year old laptops with my to give to my relatives in the Philippines.

I'm wondering if I will get questioned into bringing these much laptops. I mean...I can put one laptop in a checked in luggage since their value is less than $30...

I brought 3 tablets and 2 chrome books without a problem. Don't be so worried about it. Are you bringing them in your checked bag?

You really need to relax.    Are you bringing the laptops to China or the Philippines?

Still not an issue.  We had two of the laptops in our carry-on and all the tablets .... when clearing the scanners you pile everything in the plastic bins    NO ONE CARES!

Carry on is better so that they don't "vanish". But still not an issue.

China would be the wildcard in the mix. If you were going to Philippines via another route I would say no issue.

I doubt it would be an issue but China and Shanghai plays by there own rules.

I have had issues in China before due to luggage and will never set foot in the country again.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Uh oh...I guess I will have to risk it then with these two  old laptops. Just realized they both weight 15 lb combined...

two people .. two carry-ons   And one laptop was in its own carry case so isn't considered a carry-on bag.   And it is a pig of a laptop.. the ASUS ROG

Beware that China is great at checking checked bags.  I don't think you will have any issues at all with the laptops but DO NOT have extra batteries in your checked bags.  I had my extra camera batteries confiscated out of checked bags in Beijing. It was actually worth it because the batteries are cheap compared to the form they put in your bag when they confiscate stuff.  It is a neat form.  I was going to frame it.  The battery in the camera was fine but the spares are a no no for checked bags.  That is well publicized and I messed up.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Bejing is the exact airport me and my wife had issues at.  Hate the place and hate the country
