Estimated case completion time (N400)???

Hello guys,

I recently submitted N-400 application, after a week, I received a mail from them confirms the receipt of the application, with account info on the website to check the status.

I checked the status and it shows Estimated case completion in 22 months ??? is that real?

and what does the Estimated waiting time of 29 days? does that mean they are going to wait 29 days and then they will start processing my case in 22 months????

any one has any idea of that estimated time? so now we have to wait 2 years to get the citizenship?

Shouldn't be two years. For majority of people It is usually from 6 months to 12 months. But some people wait beyond it, I don't know the reason

You can look at "n-400 filers" here. There are tables with lists of people when they started and when they got done with the process
