Hi.

 

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was wondering why there is such a variation between what the USCIS website shows and the dates I see on this website for K-1 date on which the various service centers are working. I sent my application to the Texas Service Center and this website is saying they're working on May 30th but the USCIC website shows May 1st. If I'm not mistaken the USCIS website has been stuck on May 1st for a long time so maybe the May 30th date is more realistic. Of course I'm hoping that 's the case since I filed on June 15th.

Processing times both here on VJ and on the official USCIS site are just estimates. Generally the VJ statistics are a bit closer to actual processing times, but because VJ depends on data input by users, it could vary a bit. USCIS processing times tend to be more conservative, but if you call USCIS the officers on the phone will use the official processing times as a guideline to tell you if your case is within normal processing times. 

 

Generally VisaJourney can tell you which month is currently being approved, but I wouldn't rely too heavily on either site for exact processing time information. 


Also, K1 petitions are all handled at the California Service Center, where the processing date is slightly different from the TSC.

August 9, 2018: "Card in Production"

August 16, 2018: Green card in hand

Your I-129F is processed by the California Service Center (CSC), not the Texas Service Center (TSC).

The place you mailed it to was the Texas lockbox, not TSC.
