What a great forum! Thank you for the time so many of you spend on this and all the encouraging information. You inspired me to peek out from behind my partner’s account and join in with my question - main worry at the moment. (Aside from just getting accepted soon of course!!)

We live in Britain and have been together 10yrs. We sold our home in readiness to move. We will move to the US at the same time WHEN everything comes together.

Do any of you have any information about what they will want to see as part of proof/intent to domicile in the US ahead of the change of status form once we’re in the US? I’m the American whose lived abroad for the last 20yrs so lack local state evidence.

We’ll have: a very healthy bank balance to sustain us; a letter of support from friends  we can stay with until we rent a house plus realtors’ correspondence; tickets to sail to NY one way; my senior level work experience that equate to employment prospects(though I don’t intend to work for the first few months), my longstanding US bank account and tax returns......

Any ideas on what else could help our case please?

Thank you!

Hi again......You can tell I’m new to this. Sorry.....Meant to add that we are June filers for the K1 I-129F And have had our NOA1. Also, another aspect of my question is whether intent to domicile will even be an issue at the stage we go for approval at the embassy or whether that will just come later once we’re in the States???  Thanks!
