K-1 Packet 3 question

Hello community, I have a question regarding the K-1. When you receive packet 3, is there a time limit for when you have to collect your documents and send the packet 3 checklist Back? I am asking because my fiancee is from Canada but she may be traveling to India for 3 weeks around the time we anticipate the packet 3 and 4 to come. Any advise would be nice. Thanks!!

I think your petition itself has a time limit, I believe it was 4 months. Which you can expand.

 

you need to schedule your interview before it expires.

You have 4 months from the date of your petition approval to schedule embassy interview.  You can ask the embassy to extend this date for another 4 months if you are not able to schedule the interview, but you must have a good reason to do this.

Montreal does everything by email. She can easily submit packet 3 and recieve 4 while on vacation. She can even book her interview date.
