You see, here's the thing... you and I can banter about and discuss what he meant. But neither of us can say for sure.  My explanation is just as plausible as yours.   But until someone comes forth and proves she was assaulted,  all we have to go on are our gut feelings.

 

You may be right, not saying you are wrong.  But the possibility exists.

 

I have said all along... rich/powerful people get away with more than us common folk.   Both because they are seen as desirable, and because money buys a LOT of good lawyers.  And judges.

That's okay. So just to be clear - Your gut feeling is while Trump was acting like a "man's man" and "bragging" with a buddy off camera, he was bragging about the fact that he doesn't wait to "properly court" a lady before making his move? That is what he was bragging about? Pretty bold locker room talk.

It's fine for us to each have our own opinion, I just want to make sure I understand yours clearly.

Yes, I think it was (tasteless) locker room drivel.  Until I see him brought to trial as a sexual predator, that is all I will think of that (obviously used to smear him) copy of the tape.

 

Funny how no one talks about the other male voices on the tape, agreeing and laughing with DT.  Just as tacky, IMHO.

Talking about "proper courtship" procedures in a locker room is actually quite tasteful if you ask me. I didn't know men bragged about not asking for parental consent, or not having a chaperone on their first public outing when courting a woman. 

 

The "other male voice" was fired from his job and hasn't really been heard from since. To my knowledge he doesn't have any accusations or cases levied against him of actual sexual harassment.

 

So yes he may be guilty of going along and laughing with what was being said, but he has also been punished for that. He lost his job.

 

The guy who actually said it was elected President.

Had the guy who said it actually done anything nearing a crime, had he been prosecuted for it, I doubt he would be president today.  The democratic smear tactic failed.

You just brought up how "no one talks" about the other voice on the tape. Why did you bring that up if not to act as if people have been "harder" on the person who said it as opposed to the person who went along with it.

 

One of them lost their job, the other is President. I think it is pretty clear who got the short end of the stick.

Get real dude.  Chaperones are so 30 years ago. I never asked a women's parents if we could have a relationship or sex. That's pretty much up to her. Now for her hand in marriage, sure.  I asked for that.

 

Men brag about a lot of things when women aren't around.  Just as women do. Women are typically more vulgar about it, true.  But it's still human nature.

I believe you were the one that mentioned that Trump wasn't waiting for "proper courtship"...

 

If that isn't what you meant, then I guess we have to go back to the original question.

 

What did Trump claim he doesn't wait for? Define "proper courtship" in terms of what you mean by it. What wasn't he waiting for before he kissed women and grabbed them by the genitalia?
