Thank you everyone for the support, just a few questions. I can fill out DS-160 or I should wait? Also does anyone know how the Brazil process works with packet 3 and 4 who will be receiving all of this stuff.

We filled out the DS-160 while we were waiting for the embassy to receive our case.  We did not submit it until we had confirmation that they received it.  Here is my initial checklist of things that were needed after the NOA2 (some that I compiled and sent to my Fiancé for the interview).  Hope it helps a bit. :)  I know every embassy is different.  These were the things he brought for the medical/embassy in London.  Congrats on your NOA2!

For his medical--

  • Police Certificate
  • confirmation of interview appointment
  • letter from embassy with approved I-129f
  • 4 passport photos
  • Drivers license or passport
  • Vaccination Record (if any additional vaccines are obtained by a GP)
  • Medical summary from GP

For his interview --

  • Letter from the embassy with approved I-129f
  • Copy of NOA2 (I sent to fiancé)
  • Confirmation of appointment date and time (printed from embassy website after we booked)
  • Updated letter of intent (sent to fiancé)
  • Copy of ds-160 confirmation page (printed after we submitted it)
  • I-134 affidavit of support (I sent to fiancé)
  • Tax records and w2s (I sent to fiancé)
  • copies of I-129f packet with photos/evidence of relationship (photos, ring receipt, wedding plans, etc)

"Waiting is a sign of true love and patience.  Anyone can say "I love you", but not everyone can wait and prove it's true"

12/21/16 - I-129f packet sent to Texas

12/23/16 - I-129f packet received

1/5/17- NOA1 receipt date

1/10/17 - NOA1 Hardcopy received

You can gather all your updated evidence, affidavit and your new letters of intent to marry as well as make sure you know where you are going for the medical exam within 30 days of the interview. Also now would be a good time to make sure you have the money for all fees and the medical exam to be set aside. Congrats!

Um no, that requires case and invoice number

It never asked for case number or invoice number when I filed. It did ask for the USCIS receipt number though.

Did you not need a letter from your employer saying you are in good standing and employed? I’ve read somewhere to get that.

No, I didn't send anything from my employer letter wise.  I did include 6 weeks of recent pay stubs but they never asked for them or looked at them.  I also had 3 years of tax records and w2's included but they didn't look at those either.  Again though, every embassy is different so I would say it is always ideal to be over prepared than under prepared.

That's not required, people on the forum suggest it, you won't see that in official instructions anywhere, but if your finances are very close to the minimum, anything can help.

Obtaining my Tax Records.. I file with Turbo Tax and can download and print Federal Tax Returns.. Is that enough or do I need to get something from the IRS?

If you use that you'll need to include your W2 forms and possibly other tax docs you used.

With transcripts thats all you need nothing else, they're really easy and quick to get, I would suggest using those, nothing else to worry about.
