Why not make sure both you and your fiancé are thoroughly familiar with all of the evidence and timeline, and prepare/practice for the interview?  My wife and I used the time (of which there was plenty) to prepare...I especially enjoyed the mock interviews, not so sure she had as much fun as me. :)

Hey guys 1/17/2017 filer and after 10 long months a mistaken transfer of our file and mistakenly sent rfe from the uscis we were approved and got our NOA2 and our case has moved onto the NVC... I know to wait two weeks then start calling for our case number at the NVC but is there anything we can do in the meantime while waiting ? Thank you always for the support this website has been truly amazing the entire wait that we've had !!

You can start on the DS-160 and update your VJ timeline.

Congrats

Not for me it didn't.

Many people seem to think that but if you go to the form and input the information you will se they do not ask for the NVC number.

Many have sent theirs months before NOA 2 even

Good info! Thanks!

I was guessing the wait for the number to continue to ds160 is mainly for embassies where you don't get your interview yourself but get it sent by the embassy. And to know the medical date because you can't get that without the number.

You would have thought the least they could do is fast track the remaining process for you both.......sigh. Happy for you both after what would have been a really crappy long wait . :D

Actually in the expedite area it says if uscis makes an error... but well I don't think it would apply to NVC...

You can now work on affidavit of support (signed and sent to beneficiary with supporting documents, that’s needed for interview) also a new statement of intent to marry with current dates! This are things that I suggest should be sent within a month :) congratulations btw after 2 weeks my case was still not at NVC they asked us to call today again so I’m hoping for good news.

yes once we received an RFE in error and realized that was why our case left CSC for NSC because for some reason they thought we filed a K3 Visa, we sent an expedite request and so did our local congress. Unfortunately I dont think that matters to NVC.
