K1 or CR1

For a country like Nigeria that is considered "high fraud", is it wiser to do the K1 visa or the CR1 visa? Why?

Yes - all other things being equal, the IR1/CR1 is the best way to go. But the second part of @NikLR's comment is even more important. ***Many visits***

Make sure that USCIS can easily see that you have a relationship, in person, in public, and over some considerable length of time. Work to show that cultural/language/religious/monetary/family/age barriers are being worked through (whichever of those are applicable), which all requires face time where the two of you are verifiably together. (It's good for proof for USCIS, and it's good for the longevity of your marriage, too! Win - win!)

Only you can decide if that is enough.  Go through threads in the Africa forum and find out what successful people did.  Marrying on the first visit is usually a red flag. Too few or too short of visits are also usually a red flag for Lagos.  As is a large age gap with the woman being older.
