Common for some people whenever their field office is busy but I’ve also seen people that don’t have to wait at all!

That’s so fast! I’m still waiting for my interview to be scheduled...

I did not expect it to be so fast as well.

i hope you will be scheduled soon already.

Just hang in there👍🏻

This thread has been quiet for a while. Anyone have any recent news to report from the San Francisco field office?

My wife applied for AOS in October 2019, status changed to "ready for interview" in March, but still no word as of September. Based on the average times for SF, she should be getting an interview sometime around November, but who knows.

Right now she really misses China, and wants to return to China for a visit. But I'm worried that because of the Coronavirus and limited flight schedule, this could create problems if she is out of the US when USCIS decides to schedule her interview. I've heard that it's possible to request the interview be rescheduled, but that this is at the discretion of USCIS, so they could decide to not cooperate, and then her whole green card application would be lost. I wonder if anyone else on here has had experience requesting a change of interview time at the San Francisco office, and how cooperative they are on this issue.

Thanks.

We submitted in November 2019 and have been "Ready to Schedule" since January. I remember SF already had a long wait time when we submitted, so with everything that's gone on/going on, I can only imagine it's longer now.

Has anyone been scheduled for an interview in SF since the pandemic?

Hopefully once the Biden administration begins, things will pick up at the San Francisco field office.

Is there any person who had an interview scheduled for them in San Francisco office in the recent months? I've been waiting for an appointment since 02/28/2019 but USCIS website continues to show "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" status for me.

Yes. My wife had her interview at the San Francisco office in late January, 2021.  That was after being in the ""Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" status for over a year.

This is great news! My question goes to both of you: Was it a family based or employment based application?

I've been waiting since March 2020.

Just got an email that my interview is scheduled! Been at 'ready to schedule interview' since 2020 January. Applied for I-485 in November 2019.
