Embassy Interview: pre-submit documents are only bring to interview?

According to the attached ("Instructions for Immigrant Visa Applicants"), we need to provide all documentation to the embassy 1-2 weeks in advance of our interview.  This raised the question with me about the documentation that would then need to bring to the interview which seemed to be all the same documents.  I called the National Visa Center to inquire and they said this requirement for pre-submitting documents was ONLY if we filed our original I-130 in Jordan (which we did not... our I-130 was processed and approved out of the Texas Service Center).

 

Is this true?  

Do we only bring documents on the day of our interview?  

OR

Do we pre-submit AND bring on day of interview?

OR

Do we only pre-submit documents and bring nothing else on the day of the interview?

You might get better information if you looked under the Portals tab and selected Jordan, so that you'll be talking to people who may be (or have been) in the same boat and can give you more specific advice, but I took a look at your attachment and  I agree with you that the letter reads as though anyone interviewing in Jordan needs to pre-submit their documents. 

 

I'd probably try to have 2 identical packages, pre-submit one and bring the other, just to be totally safe.
