My Fiancee is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. She joined it at age 19 back in 1977. She is not active with the party. I have found out recently that this could be a major road block for us to obtain a K-1 Visa. Is there any help on this subject.

Absolutely there is help on this subject.

If her job does not require her to be a member of the party, she should quit the party. She needs to be honist at the interview, and present evidence that she is no longer a member if they ask. Most who are honest experience a 4 month delay to get visa while extra name check happens, but they do get the visa. In my time at candle I have seen several people deal with the issue and get the visa. It is a speed bump.

I highly recomend Candle for Love BBS for all things China Immigration matters, very detailed FAQ and information about Guangzhou Consulate. http://candleforlove.com
