Hello all,

 

October filer here!

 

Ive been reading the forums about how people met & im now worrying that what we wrote about how we met may give us an RFE!

 

We met through a live streaming site called Twitch where people stream games, we started talking as my fiancé was a streamer!

 

We’ve got plenty of relationship evidence as we have met 7 times in the past 2 years but now im concerned that they will query what Twitch is? 

 

Please advise!

Since this is UK probably not

same language and many common interests with this country

the high fraud countries is very different and they look for evidence of fraud like someone paying a person to bring a relative here or similar issues 

 

you may be asked but not likely

My husband is from the UK as well.  When we submitted our I129f packet I simply wrote that we "met on social media".  I didn't give any specifics on which site or any details about our original contact.  We didn't receive any RFE's or questions about it.  They didn't question it further at the interview or anything.  I think you all will be fine.  :)

@Meisha&Jake, I met my fiance through a PlayStation game after I ended up in his lobby. The adjudicator will look into Twitch if they are not familiar with it and see that it's a streaming service. You would received a RFE if it was a case of way you two met was through a IMB and you did not provide certain required evidence for IMB relationships.

What to do after NOA2:

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

I don't see how it would since that's how y'all met. That's your truth. Me and my fiance (who is also from the UK) met through Instagram.

I met mine too on Instagram. Did you mention in on your i-129f form that you me through there? Cause we did in ours. Is it going to be a problem? 😵

Yeah, I did.

I included a two page letter of our story and it's in that letter.
