Hello everyone,

My fiancé (USC, petitioner) and I (Belgian citizen, beneficiary) are ready to file for the K1 in the next couple of months. He will be 27 by then and I will be 24. We also meet all requirements. We have been in a relationship for over 1 year and I have visited him in California 5 times since then. I am finishing up my degree and have more flexibility to travel. However, he has yet to visit me in Belgium. He's visiting me next month (will meet my family, friends etc., although they have texted and videochatted multiple times already). Will it be an issue that I have traveled so many times to see him (and will keep doing so) and he will only have 1 visit to Belgium when we file?

Thank you in advance for your input :)

No. He's going to put your tickets, stamps as evidence (that's how we did) and if you can have maybe a screen shot when your family and him is talking? I'm not really sure about this but we put my chat with his mother about the wedding. And I think he put a chat screen of his father talking about me.

He didn't meet my family in our case because even I didn't see mine in 5 years. I do not think it is going to be a problem. 😊

I'm pretty sure, There will be more experienced people to chip in though.

Thank you so much! :) Yes I have a text screenshot where his mom said I was very beautiful and intelligent. I met his parents in September, but we didn't think to take pictures. I also have a lot of conversations with my siblings and parents talking about him. He has also texted my parents before, so we can add screenshots of that too. We will not forget to take pictures when he meets my family and friends :P. Maybe my mom can also write a letter, stating that our relationship is real? I have seen people who added that in their packet as well.

I hope it won't be an issue! Thanks again!

Don't overdo it. Probably family especially from a country that is not labeled for traditionalist approach would not matter too much, but what I though when we were doing was as he didn't meet my family and I was the one going to live inUS it was nice to show them how we were as a family.

show how you two are, and some pictures in different times you two met. Maybe add a few chats.

I had a card from his mom when I first visited. And I'm keeping it for the interview just in case if they ask.

As he is the petitioner, let him add more things from his side and your tickets and some screenshots as proof.

this may even be too much,  so I'm sure some more experienced people will give better advice.

Before you file, go around this forum and read as many different experiences as you can.

You will have an idea about what works for you after a while. 😊 I really wish I knew this site before I filed.

Will do! I've been in a couple of K1 Visa facebook groups for a while as well & I have noticed that there's a lot of RFE's lately. Definitely want to avoid that!

I am from Canada and my now- husband only visited me once, while I traveled to the US 6 times before the interview/ during the year we dated.  At the time of filing the I-129f, he had not visited Canada yet or met my family (visited me a month after filing). We were approved with no problems.

At my interview, I was asked who visited more and I just told the truth and said me because I had a really nice boss who let me take vacation whenever I wanted.

Don't bother including the conversations with family unless you have some red flags.  You also really don't need the letter from the mother.  You are way over thinking a K1 from a low-fraud country.  Include the boarding passes or passport stamps, a few select photos, the letters of intent, and that should be sufficient.  Don't compare yourself to filers from other regions of the world.  You have a lot more visits than most K1 filers.
