US Embassy Manila Closed to Public 13th to 15th.

They state they are closed to public.

Hopefully this means the bulk of workers not directly involved with the intake of customers will still be working?

As in reviewing and processing visas?

 

Any thoughts?

  • The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy will be closed to the public for routine services Monday, November 13 through Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  No visa appointments or other services will be available.  Assistance will be available only to U.S. citizens requiring emergency services.  U.S. citizens requiring emergency assistance should contact the U.S. Embassy at (63) (2) 301-2000.

I called them today. It was just as i suspected.

The bulk of the personnel are there and working they are just not doing any visa interviews during that time period.

They probably don't want long lines of applicants standing outside with all of this going on.
