Hello all!

Here is our list of evidence documents before we send out.  Anything else we should add?  We currently live with parents so we don't have a joint mortgage or house bills of any sort.  But if there's anything else we may need to add to help support us any advice would be greatly appreciated!

"Enclosed also please find the following documents to verify the status of our marriage and ongoing relationship:

  • Copy of front and back of Green Card
  • Copies of our 2015 and 2016 joint IRS US tax return transcripts.
  • Copy of car insurance policy showing a joint policy.
  • Copy of 401(k) account showing spouse as beneficiary.
  • Copy of our Savings Account showing a joint account.
  • Copy of our Certificate of Deposit showing a joint account.
  • Copy of our health/dental insurance cards showing a joint policy.
  • Copy of our official marriage certificate.
  • Three (3) sworn affidavits by U.S. citizen friends, attesting to our relationship and marriage.
  • Copy of most recent influenza vaccine showing home address/health insurance plan.
  • Letter from employer designating proof of full-time employment.
  • Photographic evidence of bona fide relationship. (25+ photos)"

Thank you!! :)

You can add a sworn affidavit from the parents about the living arrangements and also copies of both your DL's with the same address if you have.

How do these two show you both live at the same address or share financially?

Do you both have driver licenses to show same address?

An affidavit from the parents could state you live together in their home and they pay the utilities. You said you had them from friends, but not parents.

Edit-

Ahhh...having exact same thoughts as previous and posting at the same time. LOL.

Do you both have driver licenses to show same address? Same here, I added photocopies of our DL's.

An affidavit from the parents could state you live together in their home and they pay the utilities. You said you had them from friends, but not parents. I have the same situation (bills are included in the rent) so I asked our landlord to sign a letter stating that + my father-in-law lives with us so he signed an affidavit as well.

To add to medical insurance, do you have any medical bills? I get statements from our insurance stating visit details. If you can call the medical insurance and ask them to fax you a letter stating your policy is active and you are on it, that would be great as well. But don't worry if you don't have it.

Car insurance/car payments/tolls - anything with both of your names on it will work.

In regards to your joint bank accounts, show statements from the last 2 years -- I don't know what you meant by copy of but just making sure.

It looks like your package is good to go! Good luck ;)

Thank you all for the additional advice! :D  We will follow and add those additional documents.

We're just excited to send it off now and that the USCIS packages are nearing the end haha!

In regards to the influenza vaccine, the receipt supplements our health insurance because it shows our home address and our insurance policy. We attached it along with our insurance information just as a supplement.  Shouldn't hurt to add more, I suppose. Also, we figured to have a letter of employment from my spouse's employer to show some sort of proof of contribution to the economy. I suppose it's not necessary, but that cant hurt as well?

I always feel like with the USCIS, more can't hurt!

The most important thing is your evidence needs dates going back two years. If you just send evidence with 2017 dates, you'll get an RFE. So for example car insurance from 2015, 2016, 2017. And some bank statements from each year.

I always feel like with the USCIS, more can't hurt! I say more can't hurt but don't drive yourself crazy including every possible thing.

Yes, we included both 2015 and 2016 tax transcripts we just received in the mail from the IRS, clearly stating "married, filing joint." I've read around the forum that the IRS transcripts are a more "solid" proof rather than just our general tax returns.

We don't have our car insurance documents from each year as my spouse just started driving here during the summer of 2016. But we included a insurance card from then, the beginning of this year, and our current one. Hopefully that is sufficient because that's all we really have.

We have a savings account history report. And our savings account statements from a few months of 2016 and 2017 (as well as our current one).

Transcripts are good. :-)

In regards to the car insurance -- I called my insurance provider and asked if they can create a letter stating that me and my husband are on the same policy. They put together what they call a "binder" and I got that emailed to me. Try and see.

Thank you! Got a confirmation letter from my car insurer today. So I think we're going to add a few more photos (for good luck lol) and hope for the best! We've included about 35 photos so far.
