Hi,

I’ve got my interview for the K1 visa in London on Tues 21st Nov. I have just been researching to make sure I have everything I need - for the I-134 evidence have got a letter from his employer, pay stub, bank statements and evidence for all his stocks and bonds etc. I have NOT got any tax returns as in the instructions for that form it stated they were not needed unless the sponsor is self employed. I have been reading that they are often asked for and now I’m freaking out because I don’t have them. Are they always required?

My Fiance is in the US Air Force and earns well above the requirements, I don’t know if that makes a difference.

Also are you required to take a photocopy of the i-134 form?

Thanks in advance!

London does not require tax returns if you prove your income another way, like employer letter. You do not need to bother filling out the assets (stocks/bonds) if his income alone is over the required amount. More does not get you more approved or bonus points.

Thank you that’s a relief! Assets are already filled out so there’s not much I can do about that now haha :)

Mine was the same, all filled out. The document collecting woman pulled out one letter of income to send back to the interviewer and passed the rest back under the glass to me. In the interview, not one word about the I-134 was mentioned. Others have had similar experiences where the employer letter was the chosen proof.
