USCIS asking for complete 1040 2016 Tax Return with W-2,1099 etc .After amending returns I dont meet 125% income threshold. I did mentioned assets on i-864 such as savings, investments and values of the house

Questions:

Should I provide what they are asking for and see what they come back with? Such as if I need a joint sponsor or provide documentation for the assets I listed (house appraisal- loan outstanding)

OR

Sent a new I-864 with Joint Sponsor Info with this letter and my tax returns

Thanks

assets have to be easily cashed in and they will not consider the home you live in unless you have other property you can move to as you need a home

read the guidelines for assests

best to get a cosponsor as your assests need to be proven at some point

some sites other than USCIS says assests are rarely looked at / not sure if true

Sponsors of spouses and children of U.S. citizens must only prove assets valued at three times the difference between the poverty guidelines and actual household income.

Financial sponsors can only include assets that are convertible into cash within one year and without considerable hardship or financial loss to the sponsor and his/her family. Examples of assets easily convertible to cash are savings, stocks, bonds and property. Sponsors may include the value of their home. They may not include the value of their automobile, unless they can show they have more than one and the primary automobile is not included as an asset.

all this from USCIS site

I already mentioned in I-864 enough liquid assets (savings, brokerage account) which is 5 times after the difference. I also provided statements when initially submitted I-864.

So will that be enough with 2016 taxes as recently requested
