Hello, I just found a typo/ error and suddenly very worried. Please advise.

So back in 2014 when I was applying for adjustment of status based on marriage... we had to fill out the "G-325A Biographic Information" form. In that form, I put in the jobs I held, one of them was 05/2012 to 08/2012 and the other was 08/2012 to 12/2012. I just pulled up the G-325 form while I was filling out the N-400 and just noticed that the G-325 form from 2014 has the dates as "05/2013-08/2013 and 08/2013-12/2013" instead of 2012.

In the N-400 if I put the correct dates of 5/2012-8/2012 and 8/2012-12/2012 for those two employments... will that be a big issue to get N-400 approved?

Looks like it was a typo back in 2014 that we did not notice till just now. Kinda worried. Is there a way/ do we have to make a correction to the G-325 form from 2014?

Thank you.

i wouldn't worry about it.

you definitely can point it out during the interview so the IO can correct it on the form or just ignore it.

  • Day 3069/18/2018,  interview day--passed and in line for oath.

I agree.  I don't think any action moving forward is going to be related to a job five years ago.  I can't speak for them, but in reading VJ, no one has mentioned their old job history being reviewed for ROC or AOS after a visa was already issued.

N400 is not job application, meaning the officer will not care whether you currently or in the past have a job and their status. They only care about if you are legal and have no red flag and no threat to the national security.

Thank you all for your quick reply. So I will enter the correct dates (2012) in the N-400 and submit it... that should be good, right? And if it comes up in the interview, I can answer it.

I would do that.  It's not something that's very relevant to what they're looking for.
