Just want to share my good news with the VJ family!!!!!

Im here in Tanzania with my fiance and we had our interview today at the consulate and we were approved. They told us to come pick up the passport tommorow. this has all moved so unbelievably quick and we feel so blessed. The embassy in TZ is great, very professional and efficient, and lucky for us has a relatively light case load. The interview was not tough at all, though we had prepared and practiced alot. (Im glad that I made the effort to be there) also i had a pretty sizeable binder filled with evidence but the CO did not ask to look at it. He did look at pix. It was his fist K-1 and he was like OK what do I do now? it was so cute! To God be the Glory!

This is so beautful. the past few months have been so so so stressful. This is so amazing! AM I DREAMING??????

March 6, 2007 - I-129F package sent

March 21, 2007 - I-129F NOA2

October 17, 2007 - K1 interview - approved

October 19, 2007 - K1 arrived in mail

October 21, 2007 - US entry

October 23, 2007 - Wedding day

November 27, 2007 - AOS, EAD, AP package sent

December 7, 2007 - Received all 3 NOA's for AOS, AP & EAD

December 10, 2007 - Received letter for biometrics appointment

January 2, 2008 - I-485 transferred to California

January 3, 2008 - Biometrics

January 16, 2008 - RFE for I-485

January 22, 2008 - RFE for I-485 arrived

January 23, 2008 - AP approved

January 25, 2008 - Case status finally updated: AP approved January 23!

January 31, 2008 - EAD card production ordered

February 2, 2008 - AP arrived in mail

February 5, 2008 - Sending a letter/RFE to CSC

February 5, 2008 - EAD card production ordered (again?!)

February 7, 2008 - RFE/letter arrived at CSC

February 7, 2008 - EAD approval sent

February 9, 2008 - EAD card received, dated January 23rd!

February 25, 2008 - CSC finally acknowledges receiving RFE

February 27, 2008 - I-485 APPROVED!

February 27, 2008 - Online case status: notice mailed welcoming new permanent resident.

March 3, 2008 - Received welcome letter

March 3, 2008 - I-485 approval letter sent

March 6, 2008 - Green card arrived in mail.

November 2009 - Removal of conditions...

Congratulations.

It would be helpful to future users if you would post an account of your interview in the Embassy/USCIS reviews section of VJ.

Thank you so much everyone for your well wishes!! I will definitely post a detailed account of our interview once I get back to the states. It was a truly magical experience which included hearing a 30 person choir group sing in waiting room for the consular officers and more! Im so happy I was there to experience it.

Keep up the hope and stay positive. You never know how its going to turn out - I worried so much about so many things - my fiance has a son, hes from a poorer, developing country, I dont meet the poverty guidelines, on and on...without VJ I really would not have made it. Please everyone stay positive, work hard and trust the higher power that you will be reunited with your loved one!

CONGRATULATIONS !!! Would you mind helping others of us who have yet to interview - what do we practice exactly? Do you ask each other questions and have answers ready? Do you quiz each other about your lives/family/work? I know that my fiance won't remember each of my brother's names ... but heck - I have six brothers. I can't even remember all their names(!). (hee)

Thank you! We practiced by asking each other the questions you can find on VJ. Plus asking special questions I could think of, based on our situation (why is your son not coming, who will he live with, etc etc). Hope this helps. good luck!
