Hi All,

 

If IRS makes ammendments to the tax returns we filed, would they normally notify us?

 

One of the documents requested by UCSIS for RFE was " The 2015 jointly filed income tax return is not supported by evidence to corroborate the

information reported".  We sent a copy of tax return which was hand written one as we filed ourselves. We didn't have a printer at that time

so we wrote into another form and kept it in our folder. It should have been exactly the same as what we sent to IRS but

later found out we forgot to fill the date we filed. So could that be an issue USCIS is talking about?

 

I requested IRS for  "tax return" to be sent, but now I am thinking I should have asked for " Account Transcript".

You were correct to order the "tax return" transcript and not the "Account Transcript".  The Tax Return Transcript shows all the numbers on your return.  The Account Transcript only shows that you paid.

 

Hopefully this will fix your issue!

You can also get a "record of account" transcript, which combines the 2 - that's what I've ordered for my N-400, since we had a payment plan this year and I want to show that we are all paid up before I file naturalization!

you would see them in your online account with IRS....

  • sending I130 05/16/2007
  • cheque is cashed on 06/11/2007
  • NOA1 in mail 06/13/2007 (who said 13 is badluck )
  • 07/30/2007 After no touches and no other signs we just got an email with the APPROVAL of I130....Thank God !....now what ?

  • 08/07/2007 Case received by NVC and case number assigned :))

  • 08/13/2007 DS3032 and AOS bill were generated

  • 08/14/2007 Emailed choice of agent ...i'm so curious when they will accept it...hopefully soon

  • 08/21/2007 DS3032 and AOS fee bill arive in mail

  • 08/27/2007 paid AOS fee bill
  • 8/28/2007 DS3032 choice of agent accepted
  • 9/3/2007 IV fee bill generated
