Trump says he believes Putin's election meddling denials

Da Nang, Vietnam (CNN)President Donald Trump suggested on Saturday he's ready to move on from confronting Russian President Vladimir Putin over his country's attempts to interfere in the US election, saying he believes the Russian leader when he denies the interference occurred.

"He said he didn't meddle. He said he didn't meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One as he flew from Da Nang to Hanoi in Vietnam. Trump spoke to Putin three times on the sidelines of summit here, where the Russia meddling issue arose.

"Every time he sees me, he says, 'I didn't do that.' And I believe, I really believe, that when he tells me that, he means it. But he says, 'I didn't do that.' I think he is very insulted by it," Trump said.

Wow, that's a relief. Believe someone who has his opponents murdered. As only Fox State News and an official WH photographer were allowed to cover APEC, rely on Russian media approved outlets for updates. Outsourcing rocks.

He is what your hero said on foreign soil none the less :

Trump continues to slam former US intel leaders: “I mean, give me a break, they are political hacks...I mean, you have Brennan, you have Clapper and you have Comey..So you look at that and you have President Putin very strongly, vehemently says he had nothing to do with them”

 

Let's be clear: when he attacks these men, they did not do the actual work, they are the representatives. He is attacking ,through them, the brave and dedicated analysts, field agents and leaders who love their country. It makes me naseaus to have these dedicated people hear the man who should be their number one champion say "I believe Putin the murderer and thief and not to the brave people who took an oath to protect the United States"

 Incompetence labels let him off the hook. He had stepped across the line that in my book leads to treason. Why? I don't know. Either Putin has material on him or his lack of impulse control issue leads him to double down on his prior statements praising Putin. It doesn't matter now. He owns his slamming of the US intelligence community.
