Since I spend so much time on this site instead of working-obvioulsy I am not thrilled with my current job. Got me thinking about all of us out there. Is anyone working somewhere that makes them truly happy? Do you actually like waking up in the morning to go to work?

I think if I could do anything.............I would love to own my own store. Maybe a vintage clothing store-or a bridal boutique something along those lines. I would love to be my own boss, set my own hours, and make a decent amount of money of course.

So if you could do anything-what would it be?? Or are you already doing what you love???

I would LOVE to have my own book store...you know, a place like the cozy "around the corner" little book store as in the movie "You got mail".

I would have a nice Italian coffee/cappuccino corner for people who want to sit, relax and read or study, like we do in Italy. That would be my drem job. *sigh*

Sadly, it's not *at all* what I'm doing now. :crying:

OK this is creepy.................not a minute after I posted this topic I got an e-mail from a company offering me a job. I had been offered the job a few months ago, but the money wasn't there. It is a much more creative position, not at all the boring work I am doing now. They are willing to match my salary(sadly no huge increase). I have to really think about taking it...................I will be going to Ireland for my man's interview, but I don't know the dates yet. How can I start a new job and explain that??????

This is crazy

I would like to be designing software or databases or both. I love working with computers and solving problems, but I do not like having to talk someone through fixing things (which is what I do now).

Easy. Just tell them you have had this planned for a long while and you'd love to come work for them as long as they can give you a bit of latitude regarding the trip. They have come looking for you so I don't think they will mind.

Thanks rebecca and mand-I think I will go for it

It seems like a really cool job-I figure I will explain that I don't know when I will need the days, but I am sure the will understand my situation. I am also going to negotiate some time off for the summer time. If it is meant to be it will be :star: If they want me bad enough-they will give me what I want.

Just can't believe I got the e-mail after starting this post..........maybe it is a sign!

Fate,Irish, just fate, go for it

As for me, well I guess I troll this site too much sometimes as this job is not always very demanding and not really what I want. I've done the "own business" and do not want to start another one.

Think I would just like to be "a lady of leisure" second thoughts, that would be too boring, at my age I really haven't a clue as long as I could contribute and could be amongst people, love working with people
