Hi everyone,

Im f2a adjusting of status, priority date feb2015, my date became current back in january 2017 and still no news about my interview. I contacted uscis several times, level 2 as well, every one say that i have to wait, there is nothing wrong with my case just a lot of work load. I contacted my senator on monday and still noting, i dont know what to do!! Im desperate!  My Ead will expire on dec 2017 and my renew is still processing, i went uscis and request an expedite, they told me that my case does not qualify for expedite, and i do qualify for automatic 180 days extention, does any body know how that works????

Which Senator in Utah did you contact? If it was Senator Lee, they probably won’t be much help. When we needed their assistance, they told us it would be six months before we hear anything. Senator Hatch’s Office on the other hand got us answers in less than a week from contacting them.

I would recommend calling Hatch’s office and asking to speak with Sharon Garn. She is his immigration person. She was incredibly helpful when our K1 visa was denied. She contacted the embassy on our behalf and had answers in just a few days. She can probably reach out to the USCIS and get some answers for you. Best of luck.

They may ask you if you’re working with another Senator or Congressman’s Office. Just be honest and tell them you’ve contacted Lee’s office. It won’t impact them helping you.
