i have 2 simple questions but confused ..

1, in the "Party or group affiliations"---Have you ever been a member of any organization, club, fund, foundation, society in the U.S. or the rest of the world ?

i am working in the academic field. i did have some academic membership back to the years when i applied for green card.  usually you simply pay the money for  the membership in order to submit papers, attend scientific conferences, etc.

Should i disclose this in the form ? should i provide evidence documents related ?

what if i chose not to mention this academic member in the form ? i dont think it matters whether or not disclosing it.

2, in the "Attachment to the U.S. Constitution".--- obviously, the US government wants  us to say "YES" to show your loyalty and attachments to the US .

Just curious , what if you say  "NO"  in any of these serial questions. ....probably get denial in the application. LOL.

Yes, you should disclose it, along with membership of any other organization, club, fund, foundation, or society (AAA, AARP, boy scouts, etc.). Further documentary evidence is not required.

If you chose not to mention it, you may be guilty of perjury and be ineligible for naturalisation. The question doesn't ask whether you think it matters or not, it simply asks whether you've ever been a member. Of course, they don't really care about your membership of inconsequential organisations, and mentioning them will have no bearing on your application.

It's perfectly acceptable to answer "no" for "Are you willing to take the full Oath of Allegiance to the United States?". You have several options to take a modified version of the oath - omitting "so help me God", for example.

You must disclose it on the form---evidence is not needed related to them.

If you choose not to mention it, and USCIS does somehow find out about it (they have as reported by a few other VJ members here in the past who were questioned about affiliations not mentioned during their interviews), it will matter to them very much that you did not disclose it---and can lead to further scrutiny/denial during your interview as they may then wonder what else you've "chosen not to mention" on your application.

Better to just play it safe and answer all the questions fully and honestly---mentioning those specific groups may not affect your application, but purposefully leaving them out very well could if the IO believes you are willfully misrepresenting yourself.

memberships should be disclosed - they will then decide if they need documentation during the interview

if you answer No to any of those then you have no business trying to become a citizen -
