Hi All,

I am preparing myself for applying for the N-400, however, I had a few questions related to this process. I have applied for removal of conditions, biometrics have been done and I am waiting for the i-751 approval. I have also received my 797-C extending my CR for 1 year. As I had to travel I also got a stamp in the passport by visiting an USCIS office, as a result of which, I had to surrender my old physical green card. I do have a copy of the front and back of the old green card.

1. Do we need to wait for the new 10 yr green card in order to apply for the N-400?

2. Do we need the new physical green card as documentary evidence or would the new physical green card be requested at the interview? In this scenario, as the intention is to apply for the N-400 before receiving the new card, is it safe to provide the copy of the old green card along with a copy of the stamp in the passport? Similarly, would those two suffice at the time of the N-400 or i-751 interview?

3. I heard that you can now file the N-400 online, however I don't see where to access this? I can still only download the N-400 as an editable PDF from the USCIS website. (please feel to correct me if I have the wrong info regarding the online filing) If there is an online filing, has anyone had a better experience? Which would be a better way to submit the N-400 if there are two options?

Based on the above information, could I still file for the N-400, 90 days prior to the 3rd anniversary?
