My petition for a k1 visa is due to expire on Dec 07th. Four months after it was approved. We’re worried I won’t be able to get an interview date before then and the whole process of getting this far will be wasted. What do I do?

What do you mean?

If you are saying that you K1 visa was approved and you posses your Passport and K1Visa in hands, you have a issue date and a expiration date which means that you have to enter US before that date using your K1. After being in US soil you have to marriage your fiancee.

We received the NOA2 in August saying our petetition was approved on the 7th. I believe it expires, as in I have to get the medical and interview done before then, four months later on December 7th. I’ve had my medical and now have to book the interview asap. If I can’t get a date before the 7th December, are we screwed? Thanks for any help

You just need to send an email to yourl ocal embassy explaning your situation. They'll extend your deadline.

No, you're not screwed. As CamiBrad said, just e-mail the embassy and ask them to extend the deadline. They might automatically do that anyway if the soonest interview available is after December 7th.

Take a look at my timeline. My wife's interview took place almost a year and a half after my petition was approved.
