A lot of us do know the history behind it and, personally, I resent being told I can't joke about "gross and abnormal" while she can post it under her avatar after all the rancor it's caused. It's a shame people find it difficult to take sides based on priniciple rather than simply siding with their friends.

i thought the gross and abnormal statement was "over the top" to use the statement of someone previously. it was designed to belittle and annoy everyone who had an age difference, and it was treated as a "great saying" and many snickered about it. everyone, that is, but those it was aimed at. i remember quite well the shock and outrage that was generated by that statement - something anyone with a bit of common sense would have foreseen.

so the end question is this - why is that statement still a personal title?
