I cannot believe this forum. I understand its not easy a bunch of hormonal women going through this process, but we are ladies aren't we? An outsider wouldn't think so reading some of this. What would our husbands think of us if they were reading these posts? What would our children think of us in reading this?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion because it is a free open forum after all. If you don't like it go start your own - Yahoo makes for a great group and you can control membership! I think its positive that Sarah and Julie are mature enough to apologize for possibly pointing out or hurting someone's feelings, but then that's it. If anyone should be pissed it's the person that the comment was directed to. Jacque's post was very mature - maybe we can follow suit.

As for all the red flags, I gotta say there have been times I read things and though uh ohhh could that be me (yikes) and at first I'm upset, then I realize it's because it could very well be me too. So instead, I talk to my fiance about the issues and really put my foot down. After its all said and done that is where it counts.

Many years ago and older gentleman told me to look out for yes friends. Friends that have your back and agree with all you do - even when it's wrong or flat out stupid! A real friend/sista will tell you first the black and white and then if she's truly your friend will still be there for you when sh*t hits the fan, with a little I told you so mixed in How many of us prefer yes friends over REAL (meaning folks that will tell you like it is because you just don't see it)? This is not directed to anyone it's directed to everyone - just food for thought.

For the record, I think arab women are beautiful and often question why arab men flock to american women. Sure I've heard "they just want money," and "they're not open minded" bid from arabic brothers, but they're still beautiful. Interesting how a couple arabic guys I know living here in the states with papers by way of DV have played out their fantasies with american girls, but when ready to marry couple up with their own. Perhaps they feel more in tune with that choice I don't know. Then again, there are some that love the light-eye blonde hair too. I'm not sleeping with the women so why should I care. However, allow it to provide some insight and be sure you look at all aspects of your relationship IMO.

Look I am divorced too, my ex is moroccan and I am five years older than he is. I am of spanish/african-american decent. I'm a size 12 (sometimes a 14 lol). So when I see comments about older, fat etc I don't take it personal. Ok ok ok maybe the fat part motivates me to go the gym. Point being, if I had just a touch more insight before the fact, I would not have married him. It had nothing to do with age, or babies or weight, but my lack of taking the time to look at the not-so-romanticized part of my relationship because everyone was too busy patting me on the back.

I know this is a long post and I apologize for rambling on but I've been a member of VJ off and on for almost three years now and I've seen the dynamic change for the worst. We clearly cannot just all get along - but can we at least at like Ladies? Please?

It's not like he made it up or that we haven't seen it before. LisaD copied a pic I made and I've seen her post it on the boards several times. I put it out there knowing anyone can use it. We all know that. No big deal.
