Wow, three months, that is great! Congratulations  I know how difficult it is to quit, I struggled with cigarettes for 40 years and finally gave them up 3 years ago. This is a very significant event in your life and you should be very proud of yourself and pat yourself on the back as much as you want!:dance::dance:

As of April 22nd, I haven't had a ciggy for THREE months...wooooooooot! I feel as though I"ve reached a milestone now! I hardly ever have cravings anymore either...and don't wheeze when I breathe!! My only real cravings are when I see someone light up on TV...esp. if it's just after we've had supper or something!! :P ...feel SO much better though, and proud ofmyself too!

On top of that...this is my last week of classes...next week are finals and then I graduate May 5th! It's only an Associate Degree for now, but I"m still proud of that too... :P Maybe I'll go on and finish later....something's certainly better than nothing for now! I ended up with a 3.9 GPA and was offered two scholarships for 9,000 a year, but I just can't continue right now...maybe later though!

Anyway....I"m done bragging now. Thanks for all the support for quitting smoking...it really *did* help a lot!!! :) Michelle (F)

alright, sister michelle..a big accompishment..i am proud of you as always....your friend and brother dean

Good Job!

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Great job on quiting smoking and school!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1
